Welcome to the Equiano Bridge website where we will share with you the story of how the City of Cambridge is honouring the memory of an inspirational man.
After many months of planning and negotiation the renaming of Riverside Bridge to Equiano Bridge took place on Monday 31st October 2022.
We are pleased to be able to share a video record of the renaming event which was the culmination of much work by many people over many years to bring greater public recognition of the life of Olaudah Equiano. We hope you will enjoy it.
